How do I schedule my first appointment?
To schedule an appointment, call us at 979-398-6018 or complete the form on our Contact page.
How long is each counseling session?
Each session is 50 minutes. Client care is our top priority, so starting and ending on time is important. While the nature of counseling sometimes requires flexibility, we strive to keep any variance within 5 minutes to ensure each client receives the proper care and attention.
What is your approach to therapy?
Our approach is collaborative. While we are mental health experts, we consider you the expert on your life. Using person-centered and strengths-based therapy, we help you gain insight, build new skills, and experience meaningful change.
What is the client portal?
The client portal is a HIPAA-compliant platform used by Rise Counseling Services for paperless client forms and secure communication. Rest assured that all information shared is private and secure.
What can I expect during my first counseling session?
We understand that taking this first step can bring some nervousness—this is completely normal! Our first meeting is more of a “getting to know you” session. We want to hear your story, discuss what brings you to counseling, explore any past experiences with mental health services, and understand what you hope to achieve through counseling.
Prior to your first appointment, we will send you a welcome letter that provides all the information you will need for the session.
Who do you work with?
We work with adolescents (12+), adults, couples, and families seeking support for trauma, anxiety, depression, and life challenges.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice or missed without communication incur a $50 fee. Exceptions may be made for emergencies at the therapist’s discretion.
What is telehealth?
Telehealth allows us to conduct “virtual” therapy sessions via video or phone. To ensure your privacy, our video sessions are offered through our secure, HIPAA-compliant client portal.
Ready to Begin?
Healing starts when you take the first step. Whether you prefer in-person sessions in Bryan, TX, or virtual therapy across Texas, our compassionate team is here to help you rise.
